dumb, blind and deaf
im dumb, blind, and deaf.
see how handicapped i am this wk!
was having a sore throat on monday, and i was also on the verge of losing my voice. BUT, i was so kind to help gillian with her chem. so i taught her the whole chapter on organic chem. well, at least most of it. thn i was also reciting some chem stuff to joanne over the phone till 10pm. see how much i was talking. and mind you, i wasnt talking rubbish, i was saying something useful! hehe.
SO, the next day, i lost my voice completely, could barely make a sound. shant elaborate how i went through the day without talking alot. that feeling is just terrible. hehe. you just want to talk, but you cant make a sound. your friends will go "huh?" and to make things worse, its during the exam period. so when you need to ask something, you either croak and pray that your friends understand what you are saying, OR write it down, which is utterly slow. through this, i learnt that i should not take my ability to speak, for granted. thus i will maximise and make full use of it when i still have my voice. I WILL TALK MORE! haha. (to my friends: sorry if i blabber too much in the future! hehe)
so that was the DUMB part. now its the blind part.
i was checking through my chem mcq twice, and i didnt find any careless mistakes. and after the exams, i realized i had 3 careless mistakes! ARGHH! thats 3 marks. yuck yuck yuck! okay, i shant go on, all i have to say for chem paper was that it was horrible. im still traumatized by that paper.
amth paper was DO-ABLE. it wasnt a killer, but i found quite a few mistakes already. now my A1 is ties to this thin string. and any more tiny little mistake can just cause my thin string to break, and i can say BYE BYE to my A1 for amth. WHICH I DEFINITELY DO NOT WANT TO DO. because thats wad happened to my chem.
last but not least, the deaf part.
being deaf sometimes does help you get pass many minor things you really dont want to do.
like HOUSE WORK! hehe. my mum was chasing me to wash the dishes or iron my uniform. and im just too lazy to lift my butt up to do it. so this week, my excuses were:
#1 "i think im having a fever, dizzy... dizzy..." OR " just recovered from fever, cant move"
note: this excuse wont last long, thus ive got others...
#2:"IM STUDYING!"
note: this hardly works because my mum will say, "take a break! go wash..." and if she wants me to wash it right after dinner, she will say, " shldnt use your brain within half an hour after your meal. GO WASH!"
therefore...........
#3 JUST PRETEND YOU ARE DEAF!
it really really works. well, at least with my mum. hehe. when she starts chasing me to wash the dishes, i will pretend i din hear a thing, and a few mins later, i will go "HUH?" hehe
if you are in the same situation as i am, TRY IT!
but pls dont do it all the time, things like that will lose its effectiveness after a while.
as usual, i will have to start mugging for my next paper. PHYSICS AND EMATH PAPER 2! this week went by pretty quickly. which is good. in no time, prelims will be over, results will be back, study leave begins, and O LEVEL WILL BE HERE! whao~
but for now, i will start mugging and not blabber too much because my voice hasnt really recovered.
to those who were taking amth paper today: SORRY IF I WAS COUGHING TOO MUCH TODAY! cant help it :p
